Gnawa music is a spiritual, healing music. The Gnawa were brought to North Africa as musical slaves during the slaving years, and integrated with Islam and Arabic music. It has quantum elements, dealing with the frequency of different colors and tonalities.
The ensemble was active from about 1998 – 2001. This track was recorded at Pepper Temple Studios in Staten Island, NY.
